I know so many people just rolled their eyes because I don't have an actual baby..however what I do have is a fur baby that I love more than most things in my life. Uh sorry.
BRUCE turned 2 yesterday, he is a July 1st baby. Which means he's zodiac sign is Cancer, he loves spending Saturdays at the river, he loves BBQs, and he loves 4th of July because it's always right around the corner after his bday!
So I used to make fun of those people who said their dog was their baby...well if you haven't already guessed it..I am 100% , a full fledged, dog mom...and the craziest at that!
Don't worry this post isn't all about Bruce and how awesome he is...it's more about how much my life has changed since I got Bruce. I got Bruce back in December...a little over 7 months ago.. this playful pup entered my life and I am truly blessed.
Now hear me out...so when I got Boo-boo I was getting over a break up and being super single in Richmond while it seemed all my other friends were in these super happy relationships, I had hit a wall with my job and didn't feel valued (talk about making it tough to get up in the morning), and I felt as if Richmond just wasn't the place for me...I literally hit a dead end and had no idea what to do.
I got Bruce for all the wrong reasons, I know that, I admit that, but I do not regret it. Bruce pulled me out of one of the biggest slumps I have ever been in. Having a dog forces me to get out of the house, literally like Bruce has to pee all the time! But it got me exploring Richmond more, I would take him to festivals, walking trails, small hikes, and pretty much anywhere I would go Bruce came along. Bruce is my other half...I feel confident saying that cause the man I am currently dating whole heartily accepts that he isn't dating me without dating my dog and that means waking up to Bruce's wet nose, Sunday morning snuggles are a must, and if you don't leave the house with dog hair on you..it's just not real life. Through all of this he's learn to accept me and my main man Bruce so I think he is a keeper :)
Got this snap chat on my way home from Memphis,
clearly these two kicked off the party without me
Happy Birthday Bruce, you da man!
The cake was chocolate so Bruce didn't get any,
but he did get to lick the some icing
So manly now that he is 2
Birthday Treat!
A bone with EXTRA Peanut Butter
