Friends!

No, not the beloved TV Show..your friends..the girls and guys you cannot live without. Those people who come into your life and not just make their selves at home but pretty much build a home in your life. The greatest people you will ever meet.

We all have at least one..if you are lucky you have some of the best. I thank my lucky stars for the friends I have. They are the people who pick you up, make you laugh, support you, drink wine with you, hate boys after they break your heart with you, they are your biggest fan, and your most honest mirrors.

If you are a special individual you have several types of friends and you need each of these to have a successful life.

So you have the sisterly friend, the one who knows you probably better than she knows herself. The one you grew up with and knows your whole life story, every regret and success story. She knows how you got most of your scars, they know when your heart was broken and probably threatened the guy at least once, she is the friend who shows up at your house in a messy bun, sweatpants, and with a bottle of wine.



You have the listener..the gal (or pal) that you call when you have to tell someone something! She is the person who knows most of your ups and downs and not just because of facebook. She is the friend who loves to listen and give advice..this is a tricky one for me causeeeee I love to talk, listening to the other person is the tough part. Sorry friends!

The one who shares your interest, maybe it's blogging, maybe it's spinning, maybe it's wine, OR maybe it's all three! You can always count on this friend to talk to about your hobbies so you're not annoying all your other friends. Just make sure you both are trying new things as well.

The down-for-anything friend..the one who is literally down for anything and will be by your side no matter what it is. The one who goes to concerts with you, the one who you plan trips with, the one who encourages you to take the 3rd tequila shot. This friend is a good one to have around..but be careful because she reeks of bad decisions.


The honest friend, the mirror, or the tough love friend, this is the friend you love the most because they have to be completely honest with you. This is the friend that tells you your ass does look big in those jeans, that you probably shouldn't have a  another glass of wine, and after you have been crying over the douche that dumped you weeks ago she is the one who is the reality slap that you need to get you back out there.

The co-worker..who you now hang out with outside of the office. These friends are crucial for getting you through the day. It is very rare that you are excited about going to work..if you are that's awesome but for the rest of the population Monday at 7:30 AM is pretty much the worst thing ever!! So having a co-worker who knows more about you than just how you do you job is helpful in making your life better. The more you have of these the better but one is better than none!


The guy best friend..gay or straight every girl needs one. If you don't have one, there is a hundred percent chance you have uttered the words "I wish I had a gay guy best friend" - all girls need one or at least a guy friend who can be a different perspective for them. Girl friends are great but there is something about a guy friend that is crucial to your life. It is very important that you not be romantically attracted to this person at all due to the messiness that could ensue. You can be utterly yourself around this person and they totally accept you.



So like I said you do not need to have all these types of friends but you do need to look for these qualities in friends. These people will make you who you are as a person and are usually the best thing to happen to you.
